Safe Haven for Newborns
In 2000, the Colorado General Assembly passed Senate Bill 00-171, which allows a parent to relinquish control of a newborn baby to a hospital or a fire station within 72 hours after birth without fear of criminal prosecution as long as the baby is unharmed.

Voter Registration
About how to register to vote. In accordance with the 1998 Higher Education Act, Fort Lewis College distributes Voter Registration Application Forms to each student enrolled in a degree or certificate program and physically in attendance at the institution through the web site above (click on Voter Registration). In addition, Colorado Voter Registration Forms are available at the Info Desk, 102 College Union.
