Career Profile: Jim retired in 1999 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Brouillard Communications, which he co-founded. Brouillard is a division of J. Walter Thompson Company, of which he was a Director, and specialized in using advertising and public relations to build reputations for clients such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citibank, United Technologies, Goodyear, RCA and the American Gas Association. He previously was Vice President-Public Affairs for Western Union Corporation, with responsibility for public relations, investor relations, government relations, advertising, sales promotion and employee communications.
Affiliations: Jim is immediate-past Chair and a member of the Executive Board of the Fort Lewis College Foundation, a member of Professional Associates and a Director and Vice Chair of Rocky Mountain PBS. He is Director Emeritus and past President of Music in the Mountains in Durango and Director Emeritus of the Edmund Niles Huyck Preserve and Biological Field Station in Rensselaerville, New York.
