Fort Lewis College is an institution used to being in the spotlight when it comes to collegiate cycling. The Skyhawk Cycling Team boasts 19 USA Cycling national championships and has won the coveted title of best cycling program in the nation three years running. Now with the impending arrival of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, FLC is preparing to become the center of the professional cycling universe, at least for a few days in August.

Completing an undergraduate education in four years can be a challenge. But the rewards can be many -- personal accomplishment, financial savings, and moving on to the next stage of your career-building.
"Being able to graduate in four years showed that I can persevere through anything," says Ethan Talbot, who received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology & Human Services in April. "It proved to me that I can set a goal and accomplish it no matter what challenges arise."

Fulbright scholars as professors give students an educational edge

Fort Lewis College Associate Professor of Economics Robert Sonora is spending part of his summer working in Croatia thanks to the Fulbright International Exchange Program. It’s a win-win-win for the people of Croatia, Sonora, and for the future FLC students that find themselves in one of Sonora’s classes.
To earn a Fulbright scholarship is one of the highest academic honors that a faculty member or student can achieve. Only the best of the best are chosen. The experiences and knowledge gained by living and working beyond the borders of the United States through the program can be life-changing, and not just for the Fulbright participants themselves.
