You could call it "the Corner of FLC & Main."
Actually, it's the corner of 8th Street and Main Avenue. But whatever you call it, the new Durango Welcome Center is also new downtown home of all things Fort Lewis College, bringing the best of campus to folks walking beautiful Durango's sidewalks.
The Durango Welcome Center is a service and contact center for people visiting Durango, and prominently features Fort Lewis College in murals, slide shows, interactive iPads, printed materials, and student greeters who can answer questions about and share their experiences at FLC. The Center will also offer transportation to daily campus tours, and sell tickets to performances at the Community Concert Hall.

Outside Magazine loves Durango. That's why in the magazine's October 2011 feature "Best Places to Live," they call Durango the "Next Big Thing." Who can blame them?
At Fort Lewis College, though, it's not news that Durango is a big thing. Durangoans love big peaks, high water, deep canyons, and powder days. But Durango wouldn't be that "best place" without Fort Lewis College's vibrant, youthful energy that keeps this historic town cutting cultural fresh tracks all year round.
